POGO Automatic Blood Glucose Monitoring System

The POGO Automatic Monitor, unlike traditional blood glucose meters, lets you check your blood glucose with the press of a button; no separate lancing device or separate test strip is required. You simply press the test port for automatic lancing and blood collection and after a short countdown receive a blood glucose result.

The POGO Automatic Monitor and POGO Automatic Test Cartridge together make up the POGO Automatic Blood Glucose Monitoring System. Everything you need to test your blood glucose is contained in the POGO Automatic Test Cartridge. No separate lancing device or separate test strip is required.  The POGO Automatic 10-test cartridge completely integrates the blood glucose testing process.

The POGO Automatic Blood Glucose Monitoring System is indicated for use in adults and adolescents (13 and up).

The POGO Automatic Monitor is unique because it is the first and only FDA-cleared, One-Step™, automatic blood glucose monitoring system with 10-test cartridge technology that ends the need for separate test strips and lancets. In just one step, POGO Automatic lances your finger, collects your blood, and provides a blood glucose result in seconds.

If your POGO Automatic Monitor is lost, we can help you purchase a new one. Please contact Customer Support at 1-855-IMI-POGO (464-7646) or submit your inquiry online.

Patterns is not required to use your POGO Automatic Monitor, but Patterns is an excellent tool to view, track, and share the blood glucose results from your POGO Automatic Monitor.

Like all meters, POGO Automatic requires a two-step cleaning and disinfecting process. We designed the monitor to make this as easy as possible: you can remove the test platform from the monitor for cleaning.

Please refer to your POGO Automatic Owner’s Manual for more information.

Blood glucose meters are expected to have an accuracy of ±15% compared to the value on a laboratory-based reference system. Accuracy requirements are provided in the FDA’s guidance entitled “Self-Monitoring Blood Glucose

Test System for Over-the-Counter Use.” As explained in the cartridge package insert, the POGO Automatic Monitor meets the expected ±15% accuracy.

If you have questions about the accuracy of POGO Automatic or wish to order control solutions at no cost to you, please contact Customer Support at 1-855-IMI-POGO (464-7646) or submit your inquiry online.

No. Continuous glucose monitoring is a very different technology. It requires a user to wear a sensor and transmitter, which takes continuous samples of interstitial fluid to produce a sensor glucose value. POGO Automatic is an automatic blood glucose monitor. POGO Automatic integrates the test strip and lancing device within a 10-test cartridge, which allows you to produce a blood glucose result in one step.

You can receive a refund within 15 calendar days of your order if the tamperproof seal on the monitor box is intact (i.e., the box hasn’t been opened).

POGO Automatic Test Cartridges are considered medical supplies and therefore are not eligible for a refund unless they’re defective. However, your monthly subscription can be canceled at any time. If you cancel, you won’t receive a refund for the current period, but you won’t be charged again.

Please contact Customer Support at 1-855-IMI-POGO (464-7646) or submit your inquiry online.

However, your monthly subscription can be canceled at any time. If you cancel, you won’t receive a refund for the current period, but you won’t be charged again.

If you are not getting blood from the fingerstick, consider a different level. Higher levels bring skin closer to the lance. Additionally, if getting a fingerstick is uncomfortable for you, consider a different level.  Lower levels result in skin being further from the lance.

With the Quick Lance option, you are in control when the fingerstick happens, turn on the option to get an immediate fingerstick or keep the setting off to get a fingerstick after countdown.

POGO Automatic is indicated for human use only.

POGO Automatic Cartridge

Everything you need to test your blood glucose is in the POGO Automatic 10-Test Cartridge. No separate lancing device or separate test strips are required.

You can purchase POGO Automatic Monitors and Cartridges or fill your prescription from your doctor at most retail pharmacies in the United States—including Kroger and affiliated pharmacies, CVS, Walgreens, Albertsons, Sam’s Club, Costco, HEB, and many other retail pharmacy chains and independent pharmacies.

If POGO Automatic Monitors and Cartridges are not available on the shelf at your local pharmacy, simply ask the pharmacist to order the product for you.

You can also buy POGO Automatic Monitors and Cartridges online at shop.presspogo.com (no prescription needed).

We designed our POGO Automatic Cartridge bundles to provide flexibility in daily testing needs.

If you think you’re going to use up your monthly cartridge order or you already have, we’re here to help. You can make a one-time purchase of one or more additional POGO Automatic Test Cartridges to ensure that you have enough tests until your next subscription order arrives.

When you insert a new cartridge, the following symbol will appear. It means you have that amount of days shown on the meter display to use all tests in that 10-test cartridge.

You must use the cartridge within 15 days of opening the cup. If you don’t, the cartridge will display an expired symbol on your POGO monitor screen.

Each lancet is coated with a tiny amount (<0.24IU) of heparin, which keeps the collected blood from clotting inside the test cell until your results appear. Before using this device, let your doctor know if you are allergic to heparin or have ever been diagnosed with heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT). HIT is a very rare condition that causes blood clots. Stop using the device and contact your doctor if you notice unexplained swelling in one arm or leg, sudden severe chest pain or shortness of breath, or stroke symptoms.

The Patterns app is available only for mobile phones in the Android and Apple app stores. However, a web version of Patterns can be found at patternsforpogo.com.

Make sure the POGO Automatic Monitor is within 30 feet of your phone, the Patterns app is open on your phone, and Bluetooth is “ON” for both the monitor and the phone.  Additionally, you have previously paired your POGO to that phone via the Patterns app. Your results should appear in Patterns after the monitor screen turns off, within about 20 seconds.

Yes. After logging in to the Patterns app, navigate to Profile, click on the Help option and you will see a Delete Account button towards the bottom of the screen. Once you press that button, you will be given a warning, and thereafter if you proceed your account will be deleted. There are government regulations that could require us to archive at least some of your data for up to 10 years for audit purposes, but any saved data will no longer be shared with third parties or publicly available. You have the ability to re-activate your account, in which case we will do our best to restore the data from the time period before deleting your account.

Yes, you can stop Patterns from sending you PUSH, text, or email notifications by going into the profile section of Patterns, selecting “Notifications,” and then using the toggle to turn off the notifications you wish to stop receiving. Yes, when you sync with Patterns, the time on the monitor will automatically update. The POGO Automatic Monitor will not automatically update the time if you’re not using Patterns.

Also, when you change time zones, the monitor time will be updated when you sync with Patterns.

Apple Health

Yes, you can connect Apple Health to your Patterns account in the "Connect Other Devices and Apps" sections, but only on iPhone devices.

Yes, if you want to see your readings from Patterns on Apple Health and Steps, Weight, Water, Burned Calories, Sleep, Carbohydrates and Calories Consumed data in Patterns. But you can also choose only those types of data, you want to write to Apple Health or receive from it.

No, you need to grant permissions only for the first time. If you decide to reconnect to Apple Health in the future, you will not be prompted for permissions again, as they will be granted automatically based on your previous choice. You can change your permission preferences in the Apple Health app.

You can receive Steps, Weight, Water, Burned Calories, Sleep, Carbohydrates, and Calories Consumed data from Apple Health if all permissions are granted.

The process of syncing data from Apple Health is automatically started every time Patterns is opened and if more than 5 minutes have passed since the last data retrieval. But if you wish to sync data immediately, you can click the "Sync Now" button on Apple Health detailed screen in Patterns.

You can view the synced data on the Dashboard page under Connected Data Sources section. You can select the source for each widget and view data details by clicking on the widget header.

Most Recent Attempt Date is the date we last tried to retrieve data from Apple Health. Last Successful Sync Date is the date when we successfully receive data from Apple Health and stored it on our side. If the times do not differ by more than 1 minute, it means that all data is synced successfully and you can review it in the Patterns.

There are several possible reasons for this:

  • There are not the required permissions on the Apple Health side.
  • There is no new data in Apple Health, all existing data has been successfully synced.
  • Data from other apps isn't synced with Apple Health.
  • Your internet connection is not stable.
  • There is a problem with the connection to our server.

Yes, we have added this feature. You can view your readings in Apple Health after successful syncing them with the Patterns app if Apple Health is connected to Patterns and permission is granted to write blood glucose data to Apple Health.

In this case, you can remove the write permission on the Apple Health side or remove the connection with Apple Health in Patterns, but note that by removing the connection you will also stop receiving data from Apple Health.

In this case, you can remove the reading permission on the Apple Health side or remove the connection with Apple Health in Patterns, but note that removing the connection will stop writing your blood glucose data to Apple Health.

No, unfortunately, the Apple Health connection works only on a device level, but all previously synced data will be visible on another device in Patterns.

No, in this case, you need to reconnect your Apple Health to your account, but all previously synced data will become visible again in Patterns.

Yes, the connection with Apple Health will be saved after updating to a newer version of Patterns.
